Sealed Bidgs

The District is now accepting sealed bids on the following surplus property which is located at the District's office.

Two (2) metal storage containers for pickups

The property will be sold in the present condition.  Sealed bids should be submitted to the Water District, 1117 Commercial Avenue, PO Box 318, Mounds OK  74047.

The deadline to submit bids is 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2019.  Bids will be opened during the regular monthly meeting commencing at 6:30 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2019.

The Water District reseres the right to reject any and all bids.

In Flanders Fields the Poppies Grow

November 11, 1918.

On November 11 of 1918, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice went into effect, a cessation of hostilities between the Allied Nations and Germany, ending the “war to end all wars.”

The official end of World War I would not be declared for seven more months, at the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, but the end actually came on that November day, when the truce was signed, the opposing forces laid down their weapons, and the war known as the “Great War” was over.
